A graduate of the University of California San Diego’s prestigious MFA Acting program, she seamlessly blends classical training with a deep mastery of contemporary storytelling techniques. With over a decade of professional acting experience and more than five years of teaching and private coaching, Chaz specializes in guiding actors toward greater confidence, emotional depth, and commanding presence—both on stage and on screen. Her credits include The Guthrie Theatre (The Legend of Georgia McBride), The Cleveland Playhouse and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (Marie & Rosetta), Mixed Blood Theatre (Is God Is), Ubuntu Theatre Project (Hurt Village), Cygnet Theatre (The Wind and The Breeze), La Jolla Playhouse (In the Red and Brown Water), and The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre (Hamlet). Her screen accomplishments include P-VALLEY (STARZ), Send Help (ALLBLK), Soul Ties (YouTube), and her original Poetic Documentary, “God Is A Black Woman” featured at the Black Image Center in Culver City, Los Angeles, The Soho Warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles, The Silver Room Block Party Festival in Chicago, and Notre Dame University, in South Bend, Indiana.
