Work with Casting Director Sarah Cayce in her one-day intensive focused on cold reading. In an age of very fast audition turnarounds, this class will help actors learn how to break down a script quickly, build characters at warp speed, and focus on what's important even with moments to prepare a scene. The morning starts with a cold read in your hand that you'll be able to prep only while introductions happen, giving you distraction and helpful tidbits just like actual cold reads in a casting space. The afternoon will quiet down after lunch, but you'll be in the hot seat as an actor and a producer for the second cold read of the day. Students get redirects and coaching from Sarah between takes during this high-paced day of fun film acting.
