Camera Flow with Sarah

Thursdays | 3-5pm
begins may 7

Work with Sarah Cayce in her ongoing camera flow, which encourages actors to dig into camera techniques each week with motivated movement, using the frame to your advantage, and using the rules of camera as a platform, not a fence.

what are flow sessions?

For folks with fluctuating schedules, flow sessions are a great way to train with the people you'd like to train with, without the commitment of a class or weekend intensive. Flow sessions are less structured than classes, inviting actors to bring materials that they need to work from auditions to materials they're filming, instead of being assigned materials. It's all the benefits of working with your favorite teachers without the structure of a class if you're stressed you'll miss one.

how do i participate?

See a flow you want to join? You can sign up once they're available until 24 hours before the class. When you sign up for the class, you'll save your spot (as long as there are spots left) and we'll see you at the forge. When you sign up, one of your packet slots will be used, and we'll check you in when you arrive. When you've run out of slots, you'll be asked to purchase more packs to keep training.

You're welcome to take as many flows as you've purchased in any of the flows that are available at the time of booking. For example, if you buy a twelve (12) pack, you could do:

  • Twelve sessions with one class

  • Four weeks of all three flows

  • Three weeks of four classes

  • Six weeks of two classes

kids academy from forge film acting

  • The team here at Forge Film Acting built the on-camera acting classes we would have wanted as young actors.

  • While so many schools and studios offer training for theater, musical theater, and college auditioning, the gap for kids' on-camera acting training was missing - so we built what we wished we had as kids!

  • Instead of kids fitting into adult classes when they're ready, our classes are built for kids, packed with material written for their age group, and training geared towards the actual on-camera projects they can expect to work on as professional child actors.
